It’s been three years since I walked down the aisle in a dress that was slightly too long on a day that was slightly too cold (and yet, perfect) to marry Corey. When I get too stressed out or am being ridiculously pessimistic about something, he brings me back down. When I’m working long hours or spending nights studying, he makes sure that the house is clean and dinner is cooked. He makes me laugh. Every single day. He is the most sweet, positive, and dedicated person I know. I can’t imagine life without him.
Darling, I love you to the moon and back. Happy anniversary!

Two years ago today, Corey and I became husband and wife. When people ask me if things feel differently than before we were married, I usually say not really. But that’s not completely true. Marriage is hard, sometimes really hard, but it is also one of the best things I’ve ever done. This year I think we’ve both tried to work on listening to each other. Doing things even when we don’t want to, just to make the other person happy. Saying sorry when we’re wrong, which is particularly difficult for me since I am so unbelievably stubborn. I’m my best self when he’s around.
I love you, darling.

I realize that our wedding was approximately 1 year and 3 months ago, and that I have completely saturated the blog with pictures from the wedding, but I have something that is too good not to show. Forgive me. You might remember that I asked our wedding videographer to take video of the wedding day without any editing, allowing me to pay a lower price. I also asked our friend Jim to edit the video, with only gratitude (and cookies) as reimbursement. Well he finally finished said video, and it is every bit as beautiful as I imagined. I am forever grateful. Thank you also, obviously, to Ben from Whitney Photo + Video for taking such breathtaking footage of the day.
(Video link here if you are having trouble seeing it.)
Jim also made a second montage of the reception that is just as gorgeous but a little more fun, set to one of my favorite Bloc Party songs. Unfortunately, it is too large to fit into Vimeo.
