Charlotte

Charlotte, I love you

I was born and raised in Charlotte, which is pretty rare.  Almost everyone I meet is a transplant: from Ohio, or Wisconsin, or some other northern state.  I love Charlotte because it is a (relatively) big city but still often feels like a small town.  Since one of my favorite parts of traveling is to wander, I made a resolution this year to start getting lost in my home town.  I loved Olivia‘s Charleston, I love you series so I thought I would do my own take showing some of my favorite places in our city, starting with the Fourth Ward.

Fourth Ward is one of Charlotte’s most historic areas and is filled with adorable Victorian homes just blocks from uptown skyscrapers.  The stupid part is that I didn’t even know about it until we took a Charlotte Ghost Tour last year.  Yes that’s a thing.  Yes you should do it.  Since the tour, it has quickly become one of my favorite neighborhoods to explore.
