Wedding Welcome Bag Ideas

One wedding detail that can make a huge impact before guests even arrive at the ceremony is the welcome bag.  I’m not sure if they have always been popular, but while we were planning, I kept seeing super cute welcome bags everywhere.  Particularly when your guests are traveling long distances, it is a really great way of making them feel a little bit more at home.  I think my first exposure was during my friend Shannon’s wedding, where she had chips and soda awaiting us in the hotel.  I thought it was the single greatest thing to ever happen, and might have eaten both bags of Cheetos in one sitting.  For our wedding (see the North Carolina bag at the bottom of the post), we tried to have a North Carolina theme and all of the items included were based out of or manufactured in North Carolina.  Except for the yogurt pretzels, which were just included for deliciousness.  My mother-in-law even bought Biltmore House wine for each bag.  Now that is dedication.  Here are some other pretty fantastic ideas for how you can personalize welcome bags for your guests.  Also, go to this link for additional ideas from good old Martha.
